I don't know what is going on lately, but there seems to be a craze for minimal styled apps. I posted about a minimal weather app called WTHR recently, which is a really nice weather app for the iPhone. Well Jakob Henner has done one better by taking minimalism to the next level whereby you don't even need to download an app to look at the weather in a minimal style.
This weather app is instead a bookmark, which sits on your homescreen like an app. You simply head over to http://pattern.dk/sun/ on your iPhone, add the bookmark to your homescreen, then launch the bookmark.
Once you launch the bookmark you're simply presented with an icon, location and the temperature with a really plain background. To change settings you pinch in, then to look at the forecast for the next four days you pinch out.
This really takes minimalism to another level and is a real simple and brilliant way to look at the current weather.
