After being on the iPhone nearly a year, Android users will now finally get the app on their own phones. The new app allows you to read and send messages to friends, check who's online, manage your Xbox LIVE friend's list, read and edit your full Xbox LIVE bio, change your avatar features and clothing, and of course, lets you view and compare achievement progress.
"My Xbox LIVE" isn't new to iOS users, but they are going to receive a milestone update that not only affects iPhones but also the iPad; which also makes me extremely jealous. Xbox's Major Nelson reports what will come with the update:
The update will let you find, learn more about, and control your favorite content from popular entertainment services on Xbox 360. You can control the content on your console with play, pause, fast forward and rewind controls directly from your iPhone. The new Discover section will let you find fresh entertainment through your phone to play on your console. You can also access on your phone a quick list of your most recent console activity.
The iPad update adds retina display support and improved authentication.
You get many more features on the iOS update, which still leaves has Android users playing catch up, but it's better than nothing.
