Smartphones have literally become mini computers in your pocket. I see them as scaled down versions of computers, with smaller screens and less power. It's amazing how such a small device can pack a phone, MP3 player, video player, image viewer, GPS system, cameras, touchscreens and so much more. I still remember the days when all these features in smartphones were separate devices. Third world countries didn't even bother going through the stages of landlines, they jumped straight to mobile phones, mainly because the infrastructure for landlines wasn't there.
