Ultrabooks are the next generation of laptops. Intel have taken note and have come up with an ultrabook which is also a tablet. It runs Windows 8 and can easily transform from a slab into a laptop with a fully fledged keyboard. They were showing off the prototype at the Intel Developer Forum in Beijing.
Intel are saying that the hybrid ultrabook and tablet will be a lot more powerful than anything else like it. They're calling it the Intel Cove Point. It'll be targeted at consumers who want both a tablet and a laptop in one. I can't help but think it'll be a lot heavier than most tablets though, especially if Intel are saying it'll have more power. Usually with more power comes weight, but with technology moving at the pace it is, internals will most likely be a lot lighter.
The prototype sported a 12.5-inch screen, two 3.0 USB ports and a HDMI port. It'll most likely have more up its sleeves which we don't know about yet. No release date or anything announced for it so far but it does look amazing.
