When it comes to buying a new smartphone, once deciding upon the OS (e.g. Android or iOS), the screen size has become the next big determining factor. Long gone are the days of the 2.5" black and white displays - modern phones just keep on coming out with bigger and bigger screens. While a huge screen may sound like fun and games, having a gigantic phone may end-up hindering your user experience.
While you should always aim to try before you buy, if that's not possible you can compare them online. Phone-Size, is a free online tool that allows you to accurately display different phones on your computers display. The images scale respective to your monitor size (diagonal) and aspect ratio. Plug in the correct values for your display and you will be comparing your most wanted phones in no time.
While the site doesn't host the detailed specs of the devices, dimensions, weight, screen size, resolution and the ever useful PPI (Pixels Per Inch) are available beneath the images of the phones. Nearly all recent phones, from a multitude of manufacturers, have been added to the site, and multiple phones can be added to compare aesthetically. The phones can be rearranged too (as above), to cater for side-by-side comparisons.
