Ok c'mon Apple, you're making yourself look really stupid now. Apple are now reportedly going after the lockscreen on the Galaxy Nexus, the lockscreen from Ice Cream Sandwich.
As you can see from the screenshot above, the Galaxy Nexus lockscreen looks a lot different from the iPhone lockscreen. Anyone could tell them apart. But Apple feel as though the lockscreen infringes their "Slide to unlock" patent which they were granted a while back.
Many devices and even apps have lockscreens which are a hell of a lot similar to Apple's lockscreen, why don't Apple sue them? It's obvious Apple is picking on Samsung on purpose because Samsung are competing very well in the smartphone market. Their Galaxy line is one of the most popular around the world.
Apple aren't just going for Samsung though. If it does infringe the patent it would also be an attack on Android Ice Cream Sandwich which is owned by Google. Apple are going for two birds with one stone here.
I couldn't see this going through unless the judge was thick as shit.
