Android In Space

The guys over at Google took an Android into space! Well kind of, more to our outer atmosphere. Simply put, the people over at Google made a box and put a huge balloon on it so it can fly up and away as far as it can go. In the box they put a Nexus S with lots of apps and sensors all running so they could track their findings and find the device when it landed back on earth. They had 7 rigs, each with different devices in them. Some had cameras and some had video cameras, all at different angles so they could take a look at the earth for many different views.

The highest one of the rigs got to was 107,375 ft. , that’s over 20 miles high! Also when the rigs started free falling back to the earth, the fastest one was going 139MPH.
