Orange has begun a new initiative with Apple which allows their customers to watch a film for free every week. Orange Home Broadband and Mobile customers can get the offer by texting 'FILMTOGO' to 85060, via the mobile application or the Facebook Fanpage . Once you receive a code you can redeem it on the Orange Film to Go Website on Thursdays. You will then be able to download and watch that weeks film for free from iTunes on your Mac, PC, iPod, iPhone or iPad. Each week a new film is released and you are given one month to start watching it and 48 hours after that to finish watching it- as is standard for film rentals from both Apple and Google.
“We know Orange customers love film, so adding the Orange Film To Go service to our existing portfolio of film offers is hugely exciting for us,” said Spencer McHugh, Brand Director at Orange UK.
He added: “We’ve got some fantastic titles lined up for the launch and even more yet to be announced, so we’re hoping to see a significant number of our customers taking up this offer.”
Orange have films lined up for a few months so it looks like they're set to carry on providing this service to their customers for some time. My BlueBerry Night staring Norah Jones is the first film to be available through the offer, and can be downloaded this Thursday (August 11th) with The Wrestler, The Ghost and Che: Part One among those that will be available over the coming months.
Maybe it's worth getting a SIM card just for the free films...
