It takes some real dedication to create something that takes more than three decades, but that’s how committed Scott Weaver was when he created his own depiction of San Francisco bay. Over 100,000 toothpicks have been used in this astonishing sculpture, with toothpicks coming from all parts of the world including Kenya, Morocco, Spain, West Germany and Italy. An odd but interesting feature of the sculpture is that it has four ping ball paths that roll through it.
