Landing Pages are the solid foundation to a successful new product or service. They are the key to getting sales, signups, or a solid userbase. They are the reason some products fail and others succeed. Today I’d like to share a bunch of wonderful examples of beautiful landing pages. I will point out the good, the bad, and the ugly in an effort to help you understand what can potentially make, or break a landing page.
Assistant iOS App has a great landing page. The designer does a great job describing the product through icons, the image, and small text indications. The call to action is incredible and contrasts beautifully with the site. I also think that the colors in the background are a nice touch.
Memoir App is a very exciting new app. I myself cannot wait to see the final product, because it has an amazing team of designers working on it right now! This landing page is simple, quick, and easy to understand within seconds. The pictures are beautiful and look so neatly aligned as does the rest of the page. The text does a good job describing the app, without being half a page long. The only minor flaw I see with this page is conversions. While the designer included a button, I would say it could have been done in a better more contrasting way. However; this may have sufficed being that the app isn’t available for download yet, and that part of the page is subject to change.
Kelvin Weather App has a nice clean landing page. Simple images, information, and a clear call to action.
Mixpanel is doing some lovely work. They have a much larger landing page, but for good reason. They go into epic detail about the product, have multiple call to action’s and do this in a clean, consistent manner.
Here is the sole call to action for a landing page. I wanted to share just this image to show some of the benefits. Using bold fonts mixed with regular fonts, you can attract the users eye to this portion of the page. Also notice the actual text. Sometimes using the word download as opposed to buy can increase conversions by an incredible percentage. Take the little details into consideration when designing these elements because they really do matter.
The use of video is a great way to explain your product without writing a single line of text. For certain apps and products, videos have been vital to their landing pages success.
By using creative illustrations and clean colors, Just Landed was able to make a fun, but beautiful and useful landing page for their app. They also added a beautiful animation so be sure to check out the actual site to see that!
One from our on team! Oliur designed this beautiful landing page recently. The use of large images with clean text and colors overtop is increasingly popular and he did a wonderful job with this page. Simplicity is key here.
Vibrant, contrasting colors make this landing page a treat. Something different from the norm and I have to say this is just exceptionally well done. Not to mention it has some of the nicest, yet simplest call to action’s I’ve ever seen.
Pictopro does a lovely job of combining illustration with design in an effective manner. The beautiful, yet bold call to actions probably worked wonders and contributed to the success with this icon kit.
So there you have it. Some landing pages with a bit of tips thrown in. Remember that it takes multiple coalescing elements to build a beautiful landing page, but only one bad element to ruin it. Remember the key points: describe the product, show and tell, and have a beautiful call to action to take users to the next step.
