You can’t ignore Apple’s success in the last decade, taking over the music market, taking over the MP3 player market and having a huge market share in the phone and tablet market – whether you like Apple or not, they’re making profits in the billions with ease. But instead of buying all those gadgets from Apple, what if you were to buy stock instead.
10 years ago in 2003 the 17-inch PowerBook G4 cost a whopping $3299. If you bought the equivalent amount of shares in Apple, which back then was at the price of $7.57 a share, today you’d have $216,678 to play with. That would have been one amazing investment.
I feel the pain of all those PowerBook G4 buyers.
