Many companies have been using social experiments in their ads because they know that if done well they can go viral on social media sites. Dove has taken the plunge and carried out a pretty unique social experiment.
Their new ad features a criminal artist who draws people based purely on description. The criminal artist is given the task to draw a person by their description and then to draw them again by another persons descriptions. The criminal artist is not allowed to look at the person at any moment before and during his drawings. It’s a pretty amazing how people can be so hard on themselves when they describe their own appearance. It would be great to see this carried out on men.
