Rise of Coding – Why We Should All Learn A Little Code | Infographic

Coding? Pahhh that’s for geeks who do computer science degrees, geeks who are really skinny, wear glasses and sit in front of a computer all day and have no friends. Coding is actually a hell of a let easier than most think it is. I remember before learning HTML and CSS, two of the most basic coding languages, I thought it’d take me months, I thought it was too hard, it was like learning Arabic where everything is backwards. But I learned basic HTML and CSS within a few days. It really wasn’t as tough as I expected, when you want to learn something new, you learn it quickly. Once you’ve got the understanding of HTML and CSS, most other languages become easier to learn.

Coders are one of the highest paid employees in the world. And the great thing about coding is that you can build your own stuff, you don’t need to listen to your boss who keeps telling you to create what they want. Mark Zuckerberg is a great example of a coder who came up with an idea and went with it. Sure he got lucky, people try and make new social media sites everyday but you can create your own luck by creating opportunities for yourself, it’s what he did.

Coding is now becoming even easier to learn and you can practically learn anything for free nowadays because of the internet. Of course it’s great to be able to get a degree in coding languages and computer science but usually if you’ve built cool stuff before because you’ve wanted to, employers will love it. They would rather hire someone who has built stuff and has experience, than someone who just has a certificate stating they know coding languages.
