With the amount of information we consume everyday, saving key web pages used to usually involve saving it as a bookmark. However services like Pocket enable you to save web pages, sync them across various devices and read them without an internet connection. Bookmarking only saves links, not whole pages.

I use Pocket a lot, I mean everyday. I think it’s a vital tool for any blogger, journalist or reporter out there. I mainly like reading in bed and my iPad is my main content consumption devices, so saving stuff to Pocket then having it sync across to my computer is very useful.

Pocket is now available as a native Mac application. Very useful if you have a MacBook because now you can save articles and read them without having an internet connection.

The app is completely free and everything you’d expect such as the ability to put items into lists, favourite them, check them as read, delete, adjust font size, choose between sans-serif and serif, and share articles to Twitter and Facebook.
