4G has been a long time coming to the UK and it looks it’s finally here…sort of. EE (Everything Everywhere) has just released it’s pricing for its upcoming 4G and as expected it isn’t exactly cheap, what new technology ever is?
EE is launching the 4G mobile service on the 30th of October for the UK market. However it unfortunately won’t be everywhere, as their name suggests. The service will only be available in major cities including, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Sheffield. It’ll then spread to Belfast, Derby, Hull, Newcastle, Nottingham and Southampton by the end of this year.
They say they will be bringing the service to the rest of the UK but it will take a time, two (long) years actually. They say they will have 98% of the UK covered by the end of 2014.
Check out the table below listing all the plans, pricing and what you get in each one. Thankfully they are chucking in unlimited calls and texts but you’ll be tied to a 24 month contract.
