 HTC 8X

HTC has today announced a new addition to its Windows Phone line. The HTC 8X. This new device will be running Windows Phone 8, the latest version of the Windows Phone OS by Microsoft. HTC looks like it has changed its tactic and is making this phone its flagship device, putting it ahead of its Android devices. This will no doubt boost the Windows Phone recognition and I’m sure Microsoft are pretty chuffed about it – maybe they even made a deal, who knows.

The HTC 8X has a large 4.3-inch 1280×720 Super LCD 2 display covered by Gorilla Glass, a dual-core 1.5Ghz processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 1800mAh battery, Beats Audio functionality, a front-facing 2.1-megapixel 88-degree wide angle lens and a rear-facing 8-megapixel camera with a f/2.0 lens.

Above are the colours you will get and it is made from a unibody high quality plastic. It looks very similar to the Nokia Lumia line of devices which seems odd – HTC are usually good at creating devices which look different from competitors.

It will be available early November.
