Thanks to MobileFun for sending this review sample out to me.
Like most new tablets and phones, if you care about them you always end up acquiring some sort of case for them to take care of them better. They’re very delicate pieces of equipment. Thankfully the Nexus 7 is actually quite a tough piece of tech, check out my review for it here.
This case from SD TabletWear is one of the first cases to be produced for the Nexus 7. They have an array of cases for many devices. They’re not of the highest quality but nor are they bad.
This case has a faux leather look and feel which is nice and soft to the touch. It also looks professional and sleek.
The inside of the case has a very soft and microfibre-like material covering it. This is also very nice and soft to the touch and looks very professional. It provides great protection to the tablet, making sure it is not scratched.
The Nexus 7 has magnets on one side which enables it to have the sleep/wake functionality that the iPad also has. This case makes use of that feature so the tablet will wake when opened and sleep when closed.
The most useful feature of this case is of course the ability to use it as a stand. The front cover can roll up to enable you to stand the tablet at two angles. A very useful feature ever since the introduction of it in the Smart Cover from Apple. The front cover uses magnets to latch into place so it doesn’t come loose and stays put when standing the tablet.
This case is easily one of the best value cases available right now. Like I said earlier, it isn’t of the highest quality but for £17.95 you shouldn’t be expecting high quality. It is adequate enough for most people. The design is great and very professional. The features such as the sleep/wake when opening and closing the case, and the ability to fold the case two produce two different standing angles are very useful which will provide functionality for a lot of people.
