Google announced at their first I/O keynote yesterday that Google Currents, their Flipboard competitor, would be updated. True to their word, the app just updated in the Google Play Store.
The app is generally the same: you add websites to your subscriptions and you can their read their news. The app’s interface has been updated, however, to comply with the Holo guidelines, which is a welcome update to many. The icon has also been updated; it’s now a blue colour, rather than the old multi-coloured icon. Personally, I think it looks a lot better.
