Flipboard For Android Officially Released

Flipboard For Android Officially Released

Flipboard for Android is now out of beta and in the Play Store! The popular news reading app has been in closed -beta for a while, after being a Galaxy S III exclusive for all of one day.

What’s new to this version? Well, quite a lot in fact. There’s no more Gingerbread UI elements, like orange-highlighted text boxes or orange selection boxes. It also now feels Holo-esque, having virtual up-navigational buttons in the top left. They’ve also removed the menu button support in this version, which while many will see this as a bad thing, it’s actually a good thing, since Google are trying to kill the menu button off.

Flipboard for Android is available on the Google Play Store, Amazon Appstore, Nook Apps and Samsung Apps. Flipboard have also launched more regional support, adding in support for 5 new countries: Germany, Korea, Italy, Spain and The Netherlands.
