Check out my other review on the aluminium version of this case – Minimal Case Mate Barely There Case for iPhone
Looking for a case for your kids or you want to let out the inner child in you? FreshFiber have got you covered with this red cassete case for your iPhone. The is the first case I’ve seen from FreshFiber and first impressions aren’t that bad.
First thing I was surprised at was how strong it was. Even though the case feels like it’s made out of some kind of wood, it is rigid. It’s not as rigid as some of the CaseMate ones I’ve reviewed though.
It’s a pain to get on and off though. You really have to push it in, and get your nails under the corners to get it out. I’m sure over time it will wear and become easier to take on and off.
It’s not very thin, but it won’t add a massive bulge in your pocket. The reason is quite thick is to do with the design.
The design of the case is actually amazing. The little details and layered design really makes it look like an old fashioned cassete. However one thing which really let it down big time was the font, Comic Sans. The designers behind the case must have no idea of typography whatsoever. Comic Sans is the biggest enemy going for people who know a thing or two about typography. It’s a real disappointment which put me off the case a little.
Like I said the case is ideal for children or if you want to really give your iPhone a different look. It’s very rigid even though it feels very light. Like most other cases it will protect the rear and sides of your iPhone from bumps and scrapes with ease. The design is fantastic, it’s just a shame that the font really lets it down.
