Google has just announced some new features which will be coming to Google+ before the New Year.
1. You can now literally pump up or down on the amount of updates you get from your circles. You can have it all the way up to show everything from your circles or all the way down to show only the most important. Letting you have more control over your stream.
2. Notifications have been improved to be more useful and attractive. Now instead of having to go through to a post to see your notification, you will get sneak previews right in the notifications box. For example, instead of seeing "Chuck Norris +1'd your post", you will see "Chuck Norris +1'd Top 20 Android Apps of 2011".
3. Google+ Pages have been improved drastically. Adding many features which people have been asking for. You can now add up to 50 admins to your Google+ pages. Notifications will now pop-up for Google+ pages, enabling you to stay up to date on what's happening on your page. When you receive multiple notifications from a post, you will see an aggregated count, instead of a huge list. There is also a new sidebar on the right, with all the name of the person who uploaded the picture, the name of the picture, who's been tagged and comments.
4. Google+ Lightbox is the final feature to receive improvements. Pictures can now be expanded to fill the whole screen. Comments also fade in and out on pictures, enabling you to see what others have got to say. Tagging people has been added - when you hover over someone who has been tagged, the whole picture goes dark, except the person who has been tagged, so you can spot easily who it is. Also there is a new tile view which appears at the bottom, enabling you to go through an album quickly.
