Apple has recently released a new beta of their developer preview of iOS 5. This new beta is compatible with the iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 3, iPod Touch 4 and the Apple TV.
Now: what's new? There are a lot of neat new features in this release, let's check them out!
First of all there is a new gesture based control panel. This is a mouth full and means nothing more than an accessibility feature. You simply swipe from a user-defined corner and the control panel will pop-up. What this do is totaly remove the need for a home button. Other than that you can lock the screen, change it to landscape and alter the volume. I think this is kind of useles since you can by example easily change the volume using the volume buttons on the side.
Other than that there is a new 'reminder' icon, WiFi sync has been implanted and there are some tweaks to the widely discussed location service. Check out the pictures!
Of course this release fixes a lot of bugs and makes the overal experience snappier.
